Qualitative and quantitative research techniques enable us to test policy options, identify motivators to behaviour or confirm what we think we already know. They can also help to set benchmarks and monitor behavioural change – often essential for future project funding.

Once specific research objectives have been identified, techniques need to be designed from a participant's perspective ensuring a user-friendly process. The resulting data must provide clear direction for project or policy development.

Ecological Associates have experience in designing integrated qualitative and quantitative research programmes on a small and large scale. These have included interviews, workshops and focus groups as well as surveys on paper, by telephone and on-line.
